Kelly Carmody is a painter working in Somerville, Massachusetts. She studied painting at Massachusetts College of Art where she worked from the figure, and received her B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Boston in 2001. Led by her interest in the Old Masters she investigated their techniques both independently and in workshops and classes. Introduced to the teachings of Numael Pulido, Ms. Carmody spent two seasons studying classical painting and design in his studio.

Kelly Carmody's work has been shown in various group exhibitions and most recently at the Newton Free Library, where she had a solo show. She is a member of the Fort Point Art Community where she participates in Open Studios. Her portrait work, miniature watercolor paintings and drawings are in private collections throughout the country.

Born in 1977, Kelly grew up in Topsfield, MA and now lives in Cambridge, MA.
