Kelly Carmody studied painting at Massachusetts College of Art where she worked from the figure, and received her B.A. from the University of Massachusetts in 2001. Led by her interest in the Old Masters she investigated their techniques both independently and in workshops and classes. Introduced to the teachings of Numael Pulido, Ms. Carmody spent two seasons studying classical painting and design in his studio. Currently she is drawing and painting from the model at the Arts Students League in New York City, where she resides. Her work has been shown in various exhibitions.
